BCH – Customer Care – Scheduling 2020 Annual Vacation Days

To: All MoveUP members at BC Hydro CCBO & BCH Job Stewards


This bulletin is a follow up and to provide clarity to the 2021 Customer Care Annual Vacation Selection – Additional Round email sent out by Workforce Planning on November 18, 2020.

For members who have chosen to take their vacation in broken periods per Article 14.06 and have not selected their full allotment; you are entitled to select in order of seniority additional vacation periods until all your annual vacation entitlements have been chosen.

On November 18, 2020, the employer sent out a revised annual vacation request form for members who are taking their vacation in more than 3 broken time periods. Per bullet 2 of the new form there is only one box for an additional choice. You can request more than one additional choice by adding more lines.

There will be no additional rounds for Full Time/Part Time Regular members.

All remaining vacation requests must be submitted by November 25, 2020.

Members may request to re-schedule these vacation days with approval from their manager and subject to operational requirements.

Banked vacation entitlements do not apply and are considered ad hoc requests.

All vacation except what can be banked must be scheduled by March 31, 2021 or your manager must schedule any outstanding vacation.
