BCGEU – Notice of Poll – Final Offer Vote

To: All MoveUP members at BCGEU
Your Union received notice late this morning that the Labour Relations Board will conduct the Final Offer vote starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. and will continue until Friday, October 29, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. As per the attached NOTICE OF POLL, this vote will be conducted electronically via email to your personal email address. You will receive an email from the Labour Relations Board later today containing instructions on how to cast your ballot. If you have any questions about the process, you may contact the Labour Relations Board’s Deputy Returning Officer, Tammy Nystrom, at the number included in the attached NOTICE OF POLL.
Your bargaining committee is recommending that members not accept the Employer’s offer for settlement of your collective agreement and believe that this last offer falls far short of what you told us was important to you, including the ability to work remotely, wages, benefits, and workload.
