BCGEU – Join the Joint Labour Management Committee (JLMC)

To: All MoveUP members at the BCGEU
The Union is seeking nominations for two (2) members to join the Joint Labour Management Committee (JLMC). AS per Article 23.6 in the collective agreement the committee shall consist of a maximum of three bargaining unit members.
The JLMC strives to meet a minimum of three (3) times per year, for the purpose of attempting to resolve problems and complaints affecting either party to this Agreement in a cooperative manner, promoting a harmonious relationship between the BCGEU, the members and the Union.
The Joint Labour/Management Committee shall consider and review training needs of the members and career planning, trends in education, employee development, as well as any other training issues.
In order to properly represent the membership, we encourage members who work outside of the Lower Mainland to consider putting their names forward, as it is recognized there are different challenges in the area offices.
Please submit your nominations to Vice President Christy Slusarenko at cslusarenko@moveuptogether.ca with a brief description to why you or your nomination would be the best person for this exciting opportunity.
