To: All MoveUP Members at BCGEU

Your bargaining committee is pleased to report that a tentative agreement was reached with your employer yesterday evening. The committee has worked determinedly to achieve this agreement and is recommending ratification of it by the membership.

Highlights of the deal include:
• 2-year renewal, expiring March 31, 2023
• 2% general wage increase retroactive to April 1, 2021
• 1.5% general wage increase effective April 1, 2022, with “me too” increase if public sector increase in 2022 is greater

• Extended health, dental, and travel medical benefit parity with the UWU bargaining unit
• $1250 signing bonus for all regular and full-time temporary employees, prorated to $625 for temporary employees working less than 14 hours per week

We will be hosting a membership meeting on Zoom on the evening of Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 pm to review the details of this agreement and answer your questions.
