BCGEU – Bargaining Update # 1
July 9, 2021
To: All MoveUP members at BCGEU
Your bargaining committee has met with your employer on June 25 and July 6-8 2021. We have had good discussions on the non-monetary changes and have come to an agreement on several language changes for our collective agreement.
As we wrap up on the non-monetary matters and move into monetary, your committee believes it is important to let you know the monetary we have on the table will be difficult to achieve. We need your support.
We know many of you want to attain some remote work language, and we have moved that into the monetary discussions. To achieve our goals, we need solidarity.
We are meeting with the employer on July 16, 22, and 23, 2021. We will keep you updated as we progress through bargaining.
