BCAA-SL – Update on grievances and the Unfair Labour Practice we have filed on your behalf

Dear MoveUP members at BCAA Service Locations,
We wanted to update all our members working at BCAA Service Locations regarding the inappropriate treatment of employees at the BCAA Courtenay Service Location following their decision to join our union.
As we previously shared, we have filed grievances and an Unfair Labour Practice complaint because we are concerned that employees may have been targeted for their involvement in unionizing the workplace.
We are working closely with our lawyers and taking their guidance on how best to advocate for our members. We need to ensure we take the appropriate steps to protect our members’ rights and hold the employer accountable.
Every employee has the right to join a union and participate in union activities without fear of discrimination, intimidation or mistreatment. We take these concerns seriously and remain committed to protecting you and ensuring your rights are respected.
We will provide further updates as they become available. Thank for your continued support and solidarity. We will always stand up for you and advocate for your rights.
