BCAA RACC – Tentative Agreement
May 7, 2019
To: All MoveUP members at BCAA RACC
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that following negotiations on May 6 & 7, we have reached a tentative agreement with BCAA. Highlights of the tentative agreement include:
- 4 year term (2018 – 2022)
- Wage increases as follows: October 1, 2018 = 2% (fully retroactive), October 1, 2019 = 2%, October 1, 2020 = 2%, October 1, 2021 = 2%
- 1 paid Wellness Day per employee, per year
- Increase in Wellness account to $250 per year for full time employees and $150 for part time employees
- 1 additional bereavement day
- Increase prescription drug dispensing fee reimbursement amount to $10
- Increase eye exam reimbursement amount to $100 based on the benefits cycle
- Short Term Disability to be provided to RPT-20 employees effective January 1, 2019
- LOU related to grandparenting the Dispatch ‘Magic Week’ schedule
- Renewal of the administrative department’s 9-Day fortnight LOU
- New employee union orientation time of 30 minutes during work time
- Increase to Job Steward leave entitlements
- Increases to various premiums, per diems and allowances mentioned throughout the collective agreement
Your committee has worked hard over the past 8 months to achieve this tentative agreement with BCAA and have reached an agreement that we are recommending ratification of and will be in further touch to advise when ratification vote meetings will be scheduled. In attendance at those meetings will be your bargaining committee to discuss the tentative agreement in full detail and answer any questions you have.
