BC Hydro & Powertech – Bargaining Update #10 – PUSHING FOR PROGRESS AT THE TABLE

April 10, 2026

To: All MoveUP members at BCH & Powertech

We wanted to send you a quick update on where we stand as we continue to work towards a strong and fair collective agreement for you.

During our most recent discussions on March 31st and April 1st, we made progress on a number of important non-monetary proposals. We also secured language related to LTD and sick leave benefits, which is an important step in protecting members’ entitlements under the collective agreement.

At the same time, several key issues remain unresolved. The employer has made no movement on withdrawing its concessionary proposals, no movement on our benefits proposals, and no movement on our monetary proposals.

We are scheduled to return to the bargaining table on April 27 and 28, and May 5, 6, and 7.

While progress has been made in some areas, there is still significant work ahead. Your bargaining committee remains focused and determined to secure meaningful improvements and to resist efforts by the employer to avoid addressing the issues that matter most to members.

Thank you for your continued support as we continue this work on your behalf.

In solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee:

Anderson Charles, Executive Board Member
Kim McInroy, Executive Board Member
Andrea McKenna, Executive Board Member
Kelly Cammack, Executive Councillor
Carol Brown, Executive Councillor
Luc Vail, Executive Councillor
Mike Novak, Union Representative
Rysa Kronebusch, Vice-President, Utilities
