BC Hydro and Powertech MoveUP Members – Annual Benefits Re-Enrollment (RWWL Day Election)

To: All MoveUP Members at BC Hydro and Powertech
The Union has been made aware of a possible issue for members when re-enrolling online through the mybenefits site to update or change benefits. If you update or change any benefits during the annual re-enrollment you need to be aware that you will be required to make a RWWL election (if you do not, the default will go to your previous year’s election).
The screen before you authorize the changes, shows you what options you have selected and under “special reminders” it advises you to carefully review your RWWL election. The Union’s concern is that this reminder can be missed in which case the system will default to the previous year’s election. Therefore, if you had requested a payout of RWWL days the year before, it will automatically set to pay out your RWWL days for this year.
This is just a reminder to be vigilant when changing or adding benefits during the annual re-enrollment in mybenefits to ensure that all the options that you want are entered correctly.
