Application to the Canada Labour Board by Canadian Freightways to Restructure Bargaining Units

To: All MoveUP members at Canadian Freightways
On August 29, 2018, MoveUP was provided with notification on behalf of your Employer, that an application under the Canada Labour Code (in accordance with section 18.1 and 45) had been filed at the Canada Industrial Relations Board requesting a restructuring of bargaining units. The Employer’s intention by filing this application is to cancel your union membership with MoveUP and force our members to join the Teamsters union under their current certification.
MoveUP is strongly opposed to this application and will be seeking legal assistance to respond to the application. Further updates will follow.
