Bulletin
Accenture Repatriation – Contingent Labour (TEMPWORKS EMPLOYEES)
August 1, 2017
To: All MoveUP members at Accenture Business Services
This is a follow up to our July 5, 2017 bulletin regarding contingent labour under the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) relating to the repatriation of Accenture employees to BC Hydro and the Letter of Understanding (LOU) – Use of External Contingent Labour for Bargaining Unit Work between MoveUP and BC Hydro.
The parties met in June and July 2017 and have concluded discussions per the Letter of Understanding. A copy of the agreement reached can be found here. BC Hydro intends to establish a new temporary services model wherein the terms and conditions of MOU #85E and MOU #85F, as amended and attached as Appendix A of the agreement, will apply.
The use of ABSU Tempworks will cease on or before April 30, 2018 per paragraph 42 of the MOA: “Affected Employees working in Tempworks will not be offered roles at BC Hydro.” BC Hydro confirmed in discussions that it was not intending to repatriate any current Tempworks employees.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this agreement please send them to the Union office at repatriation@moveuptogether.ca.
