46th Annual ICBC MoveUP United Way Campaign 2020

Pledge Now and You Could Win

Our union is once again proud to support the annual United Way donation campaign. Each year, we partner with ICBC to give back to a great cause and show how ICBC employees continue to be true community champions with their generous contributions to the United Way.

As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm…or, more precisely, the chance to win many new prizes as the United Way pledge system officially opens today, October 1^st, on the ICBC Hub. That makes today the unofficial first day of the 46^th Annual ICBC MoveUP United Way campaign!

This year’s campaign will officially run from October 14 – 28, but the hardworking team of volunteers at ICBC are giving all of us a few reasons to show our Local Love by generously donating early. As you know, our 2020 campaign will look different from previous years. To protect everyone’s health and safety, the planning team made the decision to move to a 100 per cent online campaign amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This change means that many of the fun in-person events we had in the past won’t happen but that doesn’t mean we aren’t just as committed to supporting the United Way as we have been in the past. In fact, this pandemic has shown all of us that the need in our communities is greater than ever.

For those who pledge any amount from October 1 until October 13, you will be entered into the early bird draw to win some incredible prizes, including:

• Amazon gift card: $1,000 value
• Sparkling Hill Resort package: $1,450 value
• London Drugs gift card: $500 value
• Save On Foods gift card: $250 value
• BC Lotteries package: $88 value
• Best Buy gift card: $50 value
• Four draws for a day off with pay (four winners)
• Donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt

However, it doesn’t end there; the higher you pledge, the more chances you have to win one of our 34 prize draws. Remember, you only need to donate one time to be entered into all draws (equal to your donor level). We want to spread the love to you and thank you for your support, too! Thank you in advance for your support. Your contribution makes a world of difference to thousands of children, families, and seniors in our communities. I know that this is a difficult time for many people, including some of our members right here at ICBC, however, if ever there was time that the United Way needed our support, it is now. I hope they can count on everyone to dig just a little deeper this year, to support this campaign and the hard work done by the United Way.
