2019 BCFED Young Workers’ School at Camp Jubilee

To: All MoveUP Youth Workers in the Lower Mainland
The BCFED Young Workers’ School at Camp Jubilee for workers 30 years of age or under will be held from June 14 to 16, 2019.
The Youth Action Committee would like to send MoveUP young members to this popular retreat. We have a limited number of spaces available. If you are interested in registering, please fill out the registration survey form attached below and return to the committee no later than noon on May 22th.
MoveUP will cover the cost of camp registration, which will include meals and accommodations, as well as providing leave of absence, as per our MoveUP policy, should it apply to your work schedule. We will reach out to you should you be selected to attend.
There are always lots of fun outdoor activities for attendees and is a great opportunity to meet with other participants from around the province.
Attendees can choose one of this year’s courses including:
- Health and Safety: Mental Health in the Workplace
- Negotiations 101
- Legal Protest vs Civil Disobedience
- Public Speaking
- Organizing – Effective One on Ones
- Introduction to Unions and the Labour Movement
Note that you will be required to sign a code of conduct and waiver once registered.
Further details will be provided closer to the camp start date.
