All Aboard the Polar Express! MoveUP’s Events and Social Planning Committee invite you to our Family Holiday Movie Event – Sunday, November 29, 2026

You and your family are invited to kick off the holiday season with us in Nanaimo!
Come wearing your best Christmas pajamas and bring your favourite travel mug! We’ll have hot chocolate on us for you to enjoy during the show.
Date: Sunday, November 29, 2026
Location: Landmark Cinemas (6631 N Island Hwy, Nanaimo, BC V9T 6N8)
Time: Please arrive at 9:15 a.m.
Movie: Polar Express
Price: $25 per family – family is defined as one (1) member, (1) additional adult (spouse, grandparent, etc.), and up to four (4) children of any age.
During registration, you will be asked to select the size of your snack combo. You are limited to one (1) snack combo per attendee, but you can select any sizes as you wish. For example, if you have two (2) adults and two (2) children, you can choose to select three (3) adult combos and one (1) child combo. The adult combo includes a medium popcorn, large drink and large candy, while the child combo comes with a snack size popcorn, small drink and small candy.
MoveUP is proud to once again support the BC Federation of Labour’s Community Holiday Event—a wonderful tradition that helps families in need during the holiday season. We ask that each child brings a new, unwrapped toy for a ages 0-18. Every donation helps spread a little more holiday cheer, and your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Your registration fee of $25 will be donated to the Loaves and Fishes community food bank.
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 12 p.m. Please click HERE at that time to register.
There will be no waitlist and no refunds.
You will receive an information email in the week prior to the event.
