ICBC – Final Update on Retroactive Pay and Wage Increases
October 7, 2026
To: All MoveUP members at ICBC
We can confirm that your retroactive pay will be paid in two installments, as we had originally indicated, after our latest meeting with your employer.
We have clarified the parameters of those payments with ICBC and they are as follows:
- October 30 – The 2025 wage scales will come into place, and retroactive pay will be issued back to July 1, 2025
- November 13 – The 2026 wage scales will come into place, and retroactive pay will be issued back to July 1, 2026
ICBC informed us that, for accuracy purposes, the wage scales could not be implemented until the retroactive pay is ready to be paid. This was initially a miscommunication that has now been clarified.
We know this situation has been hard on members, and we appreciate the feedback we have received from all those who have reached out. Our aim is to communicate frequently and clearly with our members, so you have the most updated information available in every situation.
We want to also acknowledge and recognize our MoveUP members who work in Payroll, we know this situation is not your fault. We want to say thank you for your continued work to make sure all MoveUP members are paid accurately.
From our perspective, this bulletin provides the full and final word on when your retroactive pay will be issued. While we are disappointed that ICBC could not move up the date for the new wages to apply, we take them at their word that the timelines they presented is what is required to ensure accuracy to process the two years of general wage increases and the additional increases to salary groups 5, 6 and 7.
