Tree Island Bargaining: Tentative Agreement Reached

To: All MoveUP Members at Tree Island Industries
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with your employer, Tree Island Industries, following lengthy and thorough negotiations. Despite an extremely difficult bargaining environment and the company’s financial position, your committee were able to secure substantial and meaningful improvements to your collective agreement.
Key improvements include major benefit increases and other gains for members:
- Significant increases to health benefits:
- Unlimited massage therapy and physiotherapy
- 100% coverage for basic and major dental services
- 100% coverage for preventive vaccines
- $600 for vision care every 24 months
- $1,500 for mental health practitioners
- $1,500 signing bonus following ratification
- $500 payout in January 2027
- Stronger protections for bargaining unit work
- Strengthened layoff, recall, and placement protections
- Improved internal opportunities for members
- Improved union representation and leave
- Two-year term
We will be holding a meeting to review the tentative agreement and ratification voting process on Monday July 6th at 2pm in the Admin Lunchroom.
