ICBC – Bargaining Update #8

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC
Your bargaining committee met with ICBC again on May 27 to continue negotiations.
As it had been three weeks since our last bargaining date, your bargaining committee put in a lot of effort to come to the table with counters to a substantial number of proposals. This brought many of them very close to a point where they can be signed off by the Parties.
We are pushing ahead as quickly as possible to bring us to a point where we can begin discussing monetary items.
The Corporation did not have anything for our bargaining committee’s review today, but they did agree to sign off on a couple of the counter proposals that we presented earlier in the day.
There is a desire by both Parties to begin discussing monetary items. However, there are 10 non-monetary proposals that we are waiting for responses from the Corporation on.
What’s Next?
We are back at the table next week, and for two more sets of dates in June. We have also booked additional bargaining dates in August.
