DSF – Tentative Agreement Reached

May 21, 2026

To: All MoveUP Members at David Suzuki Foundation

Your bargaining committee is proud to announce that the parties have reached a tentative agreement with the Labour Board-appointed mediator’s recommendations. The recommendations are as follows:

Duration
Your agreement will be effective and remain in full force until August 31, 2028.

Compensation

  1. Your initial placement on the wage grids will be based on your years of service.
  2. You will move up to the next appropriate band on September 1, 2026, and move up again on September 1, 2027.
  3. The minimum wage increase is 4% for the bargaining unit members.
  4. Your 2026 and 2027 cost of living adjustments are 3.00% and 2.50% respectively.
  5. A job description review and a job evaluation plan will be discussed between the employer and your union during the life of this agreement.

Your union will be working to put together a Memorandum of Agreement, which contains all mutually agreed proposals. Details of the ratification meeting will follow, and the Memorandum of Agreement will be made available to you before it. We want to thank you for the support received by your bargaining committee.
