ICBC – Bargaining Update #7

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC
Your bargaining committee met with ICBC again on May 6 and 7 to continue negotiations.
The Parties had some in-depth conversations around vacation scheduling and a representative from Workforce Management was present to walk the Union through the Corporation’s methodology for planning out the vacation bid.
The Parties were able to make progress through the exchange of counterproposals that have furthered the overall progress of negotiations.
The Parties are anticipating being able to wrap up non-monetary discussion within the next couple of meetings (May 27, June 1 and 3).
What’s Next?
The Parties are moving closer to being able to discuss monetary items. We are looking to book additional bargaining dates throughout the summer should they be needed, though it is our hope to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
