Hertz (YVR) Customer Service Representative Shift Bid Committee – Update

To: All MoveUP members at Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR
Per our previous message, we indicated that the expression of interest for two (2) members to serve on the Hertz Customer Service Representative (CSR) Shift Bid Committee with a deadline of 4:30 p.m. on January 21, 2026.
There were two (2) members who expressed an interest. Those members were:
- Shahzad Mansoory
- Rehana Mohammed
Because there were only two (2) members, we will dispense with the election and consider the members acclaimed.
We wish to thank Shelly Keilbart and Umlesh Prasad for serving on the CSR Shift Bid Committee previously.
A few members have asked why there is a push to have the committee was appointed. The bargaining committee had asked about the process of how long worksite committee need to be reappointed. Worksites have committees that do reappointments every year or two.
In consultation with Vice-President Christy Slusarenko, the decision was made to put out the call for expression of interest because the shift bid committee had not done been for a number of years.
The shift bid committee will now work on creating the new shift bid schedule, and then members can choose their preferred shift by seniority per Article 19.01.
