CUPE BC and Locals – Tentative Agreement Reached

To: All MoveUP members at CUPE BC and Locals


Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have finalized negotiating a tentative collective agreement with your employer, CUPE BC and Locals. You can view the MOA on our website.

Some highlights of the tentative agreement include:

  • 2 year agreement
  • Wages: 1.5% for 1st year and 2% for 2nd year
  • Wellness Spending Account $650/yearly
  • 1 paid cultural leave day
  • Update to union trainee leave
  • Increase to bereavement leave for friend or family member
  • Extended health benefits increases as follows:
    • Acupuncture coverage increase to $1000/year
    • Chiropractor coverage increase to $1000/year
    • Expand coverage of psychology entitlement to increase overage to $2000/year
    • Vision care coverage increase to $1000/2 year
  • Transit subsidy to a maximum of $150/per month
  • Ban on generative AI usage

Your bargaining committee is recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement.

We will be holding a meeting in order to review the tentative agreement with you. Please make every effort to attend.

Voting information will be sent in a separate bulletin on a later date.
