Notice of By-Election – ICBC – Executive Councillor – EC area #1651 – #1659–(1 position available)

To: MoveUP members employed at ICBC in EC area's #1651 to # 1659
(EC Are #1651 to # 1659 are members employed at ICBC Surrey Guildford Corp Centre 1st Floor, 3rd Floor, 4th Floor, 5th Floor, 6th Floor and Surrey Customer Contact Centre.) (EC Area # 1652 is vacant).
Due to the resignation of Jonas Kaleta and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day-to-day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.

Registration deadline is 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday July 25, 2025.
