Berlitz-Tentative Agreement Reached – Meeting Notice-June 24, 2025

To: All MoveUP Members at Berlitz Canada
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative collective agreement with your employer, Berlitz Canada.
We will be conducting a ratification meeting to discuss the Memorandum of Agreement (click here to view). Details for the meeting are listed below.
Highlights include:
- Three year agreement.
- Retroactive wage increases of up to 6% at time of signing, 1% year two with requirement to discuss year two wage adjustments aligned with Vancouver regional inflation, and 3% year three.
- New and improved leave provisions, including:
- Improved Parental Leave
- Gender Transition Leave
- Compassionate Care Leave
- Domestic or Sexual Violence Leave
- Improved Bereavement Leave
- Increased severance pay amount and eligibility.
- Improved layoff notice requirements.
- Employer will pay for requested sick notes.
Your bargaining committee strongly recommends ratification of the tentative agreement.

How you vote

If you haven’t already registered for your account, you will need your membership number and home email address and then click here. If you do not know your membership number please email membership and they will assist you with this. If you are not registered on the member portal prior to the vote opening you will not be eligible to vote.
