ICBC – Bargaining Preparation Update #2

March 26, 2025

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC

Your Bargaining Committee came together on March 24 and 25 to continue reviewing and discussing topics that relate to proposals for the next round of negotiations. Matters discussed include job protection due to the implementation of AI, sick leave occurrences and processes, work from home, benefits improvements, and many other topics of critical importance identified in the bargaining survey.

In addition, the committee strategized around issues that are unique to driver licensing and how they may be addressed in the next collective agreement. We also reviewed the concerns raised by the claims support assistants, part-time employees and our members in the information services department.

The drafting of bargaining proposals is under way. Your bargaining committee will be coming together again on April 30th to review proposal drafts and continue bargaining preparation.

If you have any questions about the above or want to share any feedback, please email your Bargaining Committee at icbcbarg@moveuptogether.ca.

In solidarity,

Your bargaining committee,

Sara Colliss, Union Representative
Dimitri Ossinsky, Vice President
Jeffrey Bryant, Executive Board Member
Brian Martens, Executive Board Member
Ahmad Naqvi, Executive Board Member
Leilah Thiel, Executive Board Member
Lana Topic, Executive Board Member
