Notice of By-Election – BC Hydro –Nomination Received- Executive Councillor #1222 – #1223 (2 positions available)

(EC area #1222 – #1223 are members employed at AECON-J Hart Gen Stn, AECON-Campbell River. Members employed at SNC Lavalin-John Hart-Campbell River.)(EC #1222 & $1223 are vacant).
Term Ending: April 30, 2026
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day-to-day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.
Mayanka Sharma has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday March 18, 2025, Mayanka Sharma will be declared the successful candidate.
