FortisBC – Flex Benefit Program

To: All MoveUP Members at FortisBC
During the last round of bargaining with your employer, the parties agreed to a change under Article 21.08 Flex Benefits Program.
Article 21.08 e) (i) now reads:
“In November of each year, if an employee chooses not to make an election, the employee’s plan will default to the previous enrolment selection. All excess credits will be directed to taxable cash.”
Previously when an employee chose not to make an election the 4% of base pay was converted to ten Purchase Days Off (PDO). The company’s reason for this change was many folks have not made their selection of the past several years, and when they use their previous years selections, in several situations there was not enough available Flex Credits to purchase 10 PDO’s.
The Deadline for enrollment selection is Friday, November 22, 2024.
