(EC areas #1416 to # 1417 are members employed at Lu’Ma Native Housing Society.) (EC #1416 & #1417 are vacant).
Term Ending: April 30, 2026
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day-to-day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.
Colin Sanderson has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. PT on Thursday, November 21, 2024, Colin Sanderson will be declared the successful candidate.
