Rural Queer Leadership Program Opportunity

To: members in Northern BC and rural areas

Momentum, a Nova Scotia based organization that amplifies advocacy for social and gender justice, is launching a new Rural, Remote and Northern Queer Advocacy Leadership Program.

This program will provide an opportunity for queer and trans activists in small communities to connect, support one another, and build some Rainbow Equality activism in their communities.

We encourage our interested members who live in a rural, remote, or northern community who are interested in this program to visit their website to learn more.

There will be six online sessions, from June to September, focused on building different skills. The website also outlines potential honourariums to support participation.

The program is made possible through funding provided by the Canadian Women’s Foundation, and to their charitable partner, the Community-Based Research Centre, for supporting program administration.

The deadline to apply is 9 p.m. PT on June 7, 2024. Learn more and apply now by clicking here.

In solidarity,
