BCH & Powertech – You’re invited to join a focus group/interview in your community.
April 18, 2024
To: All MoveUP members at BCH & Powertech
The BC Federation of Labour, together with member unions and local labour councils, will be traveling to communities across BC this spring for a province-wide discussion to help develop a worker and community-centred Climate Justice and Jobs Plan for BC.
The discussions are open to all workers. For energy and resource workers, the labour movement understands that you are at the brunt of the changes. That’s why the BCFED would like to especially invite you to attend a small focus group or interview in your community if you work in these sectors.
In addition to all the communities where a community discussion is taking place (see the schedule below, along with the link to register), they are seeking to hold additional focus groups/interviews in the following communities: Burns Lake, Chilliwack, Cumberland, Duncan, Elk Valley, Fort St. John, Fraser Lake, Houston, Kitimat, Merritt, Port Alberni, Princeton, Sparwood, Vanderhoof and Vernon.
If you live in any of the communities above, or the ones listed below, and are interested in participating in a focus group/interview, please contact Trish at tgarner@bcfed.ca to sign up.
Community Discussions will be held at the locations below. You can register to attend a community discussion if you are interested in doing so, in addition to expressing your interest to participate in a focus group/interview.
Each town hall will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a light dinner at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required.
