Bulletin
BC Hydro & Powertech – Consent and Release of Personal Medical Information Forms
March 22, 2024
To: All MoveUP members at BCH
This bulletin is a follow-up to the one we sent to you on March 4, 2024 regarding BC Hydro’s revised consent and release of personal medical information forms.
At the time, we advised you that we were reviewing the changes and asked you to refrain from signing these authorizations. The employer advised that they will be using these updated consent statements effective immediately. After careful review, we will be filing a policy grievance regarding the new medical forms and medical privacy.
In the meantime, we strongly recommend all our members to use the revised version of the form which removes the impugned portions. As privacy violations cannot be undone, we want to take every possible precaution to ensure that your medical privacy is as secure as possible.
You can download the revised version of this form here.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this revised version, please contact us.
