Bargaining has officially commenced!
Your bargaining committee met with the employer virtually on September 5-7, 2023.
On September 5, your committee presented its proposal package, and made introductory remarks outlining the priorities and concerns you told us were important to you. The employer reciprocated with their introductory remarks but did not table any proposals of their own.
Over the next two days, the focus remained on non-monetary items. These non-monetary items included issues such as working conditions, union recognition/representation, seniority, grievance procedures, employee classifications, health and safety, and much more.
We have future bargaining dates scheduled for October 31, November 2, and November 21, 2023 and will update you on our progress following those dates.
