CapilanoU – September 19th Holiday

As you have likely just heard, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has heralded that Monday, Sept. 19, the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, will be a federal holiday.

Premier John Horgan has also declared Monday, Sept. 19, a day of remembrance this year to align with the federal decision to mark the Queen’s funeral with a holiday.

As confirmed in Premier Horgan’s statement on national day of mourning to mark the Queen’s funeral on Sept 13th, and due to our federal holiday recognition clause under 16.01 (B), Sept 19^th will be a paid holiday and the University will be closed.
