BCNDP – September 19th Holiday

As you have likely just heard, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has heralded that Monday, Sep. 19, the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, will be a federal holiday and a national day of mourning.

While more details will soon follow, and we may receive confirmation from the provincial government that it will recognize the date as a provincial statutory holiday as well, we currently have automatic recognition of federal holidays under our Collective Agreement and we’ve confirmed that your Employer will be honouring the holiday.
