Possible Job Action by BCGEU members at common workplaces

To: All MoveUP Job Stewards at ICBC
***REMINDER***
By now many of you are aware that the BCGEU have initiated job action in the form of a limited strike in their collective bargaining with their employer. At this point their picket lines don’t directly affect our ICBC workplaces. However, we share several workplaces with them, and there is a possibility that in the near future BCGEU workers could put a picket line at one of our common worksites.
Since their collective agreement is under the ambit of the Public Sector Employers’ Council, (PSEC) their fight is our fight; the wage settlement they achieve will influence the wage settlement we achieve.
Please join a meeting next week for ICBC job stewards on the above subject. Respond to this email bulletin by registering for one or the other of two meeting times.
