I am such a visual person; it’s how I process, and how I learn. Ocean Wise has put together an amazing visual perspective of what they achieved in 2021.

Here are some of the achievements that stood out for me:

• Almost 1 million people have participated in shoreline cleanups since the program came to be in 1994.
• Last year alone there were 19,508 participants across Canada.
• British Columbia led the country with 9,764 participants.

At the end of the year Ocean Wise produced a list of what they call “The Dirty Dozen”, the 12 highest ranked items found during the cleanups.
