Every year we hear that it is important to conserve energy. Now, more than ever, it is important that we are conscious of the footprint we leave on our planet. There are awareness campaigns and one of them include the Earth Hour Challenge, which is on March 26 at 8:30 p.m.

The challenge is, for one hour, turn off all your non-essential lights at home. This is not only a symbolic gesture, but a way to teach our younger generations that our energy usage plays a big part in the devastation of Earth’s resources.

Earthhour.org is the official website that you can check out. Earth Hour encourages individuals, NGOs, businesses, and governments to influence others. This is a symbolic awareness. We know it won’t make a large impact, but we can see the power of unity to save planet Earth.

Please visit earthhour.org for more information, and I challenge you to turn off your lights on March 26, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. for 60 minutes.
