Nominations Opening Tomorrow for MoveUP (3) Vice-Presidents

To: All MoveUP Members
Nominations for three MoveUP vice-president positions will open on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
General elections, including the election of vice-presidents, are held every three years. All executive board member positions are for a three-year term, ending in the fall of 2024.
One vice-president from each of the three groups below will be elected to represent the following membership constituencies:
- Combined Units (Finance/Insurance, Shipping/Transportation/Manufacturing, Labour, Transit, Miscellaneous)
- ICBC
- Utilities (BC Hydro Group and FortisBC Group)
Vice-presidents will be elected from the executive board by the delegates attending the 2021 MoveUP convention taking place from October 28 to October 30, 2021.
Delegates to convention will vote by electronic ballot through the Member Portal should an election be required.
Please ensure your nomination form includes at least the minimum number of nominators required for the position you are seeking election for. As per our constitution, candidates and nominators must be members of MoveUP in good standing.
Completed nomination forms must be received by the returning officer no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
As MoveUP’s office remains closed out of precaution for COVID-19, all nomination forms must be submitted directly to the returning officer by email to returningofficer@moveuptogether.ca. The nomination form includes submission instructions so make certain you read the entire form and reach out to the returning officer if you have any questions.
