Mental Health in the Workplace
May 10, 2021
To: All MoveUP members
The COVID 19 pandemic continues to have an impact on workers. Our union has worked hard to support members through the past months to make sure we are safe and that our employers are doing everything they can to ensure safe and healthy workplaces. The physical protection of workers is only one aspect; we must also focus on the mental health of our members, especially in relation to this pandemic.
That is why MoveUP is proud to offer a three-part course on mental health and stigma in the workplace. This is a partnership with the BC Federation of Labour’s Health and Safety Centre and our union’s Health and Safety Committee. This course is open to all members however, it is ideal for job stewards and worker representatives on Health and Safety Committees.
This course will be offered on June 10, 17 and 24 from 6:30-8 p.m.
You must complete all three sessions to receive your certificate. To register for this course, click here. Please note that space for this course will be limited, so we ask that you, only register if you will be able to attend all three sessions.
We hope you will join us for these sessions. If you are feeling unwell and need support, please speak to a health care provider or your Employee and Family Assistance Program is also available.
