Canadian Freightways-Bargaining Update 5-Ratification Meetings

RE: Reminder – Ratification Meetings
Further to our bulletin of April 12, 2019 we would like to remind you that we will be holding ratification meetings at several terminal locations over the next few weeks. These meetings are scheduled on the following dates at:
DATE LOCATION TIMES
Monday, May 6 Calgary Terminal 2 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm
Tuesday, May 7 Edmonton Terminal 1 pm, 6 pm
Wednesday, May 8 Vancouver Terminal 2 pm, 3 pm
Tuesday, May 14 Winnipeg Terminal 10 am, 6:30 pm
Wednesday, May 15 Regina Terminal 2:30 PM
Thursday, May 16 Saskatoon Terminal Noon
For members in Kelowna, Whitehorse, Grande Prairie or Lethbridge, you will be provided with a ratification package enabling you to mail in your ballot. You may also arrange to conference in to one of the meetings listed above by contacting the union office at echilman@moveuptogether.ca prior to the meeting.
For members in the locations where the meetings are being held, but who will not be in attendance the day the meetings are scheduled at your terminal, you may also contact echilman@moveuptogether.ca in order to received a ratification package so that you may mail in your ballot. You can also conference in to one of the meetings if you are available. Again, please contact the union office so we may arrange the call.
*Please note when arranging for conferencing in that the times listed above are based on either Mountain Daylight Time (Calgary, Edmonton), Central Standard time (Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon) or Pacific Daylight Time (Vancouver).
On a further note, after an amicable round of bargaining with your employer, they have agreed to withdraw the restructuring application requesting one bargaining unit to cover all union employees at Canadian Freightways.
