MoveUP statement on attacks in Sri Lanka

Our union is deeply saddened to learn of the attacks on churches and hotels on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka that has claimed the lives of hundreds. We condemn and abhor all forms of violence and our union, along with our 12,000 members, will always stand against all forms of hatred that seek to divide us.

Our thoughts are with the people of Sri Lanka, as well as with those who have loved ones affected by this terrible tragedy. We urge our members to reach out to us if they require any support during this difficult time.

In solidarity,

Lori Mayhew
Acting-President
