Bargaining
Greenpeace – Bargaining Update
March 25, 2019
To: All MoveUP members at Greenpeace Canada
We met with the employer on March 5 and 6 to exchange proposals and begin the process of collective bargaining. We were joined at the table with bargaining representatives from COPE 343 in Ontario and SEPB 574 from Quebec. The parties have agreed to use the existing COPE 343 collective agreement as a master agreement for all bargaining unit employees across Canada, with region specific language appended separately to the agreement as needed.
Bargaining so far has been productive. We are in the process of confirming additional bargaining dates in May or June. We are hopeful that we will have a tentative agreement for your review afterwards.
We will be holding a membership meeting shortly. A separate bulletin with the details will be sent in April.
In Solidarity,
Mary Lovell, Bargaining Committee
