BC Hydro & Powertech Bulletin Re: MOU #85

The Parties meet in December 2018 with Arbitrator Ken Saunders regarding the following two issues:

1. BC Hydro’s use of members ‘P’ files that were transferred to BC Hydro per Point 22 of the Memorandum of Agreement. Arbitrator Saunders issued a decision that the personnel files that were transferred to BC Hydro are subject to the 2-year sunset provision per article 17.02(a) of the former collective agreement between Accenture Business Services of BC Limited Partnership and MoveUp.

2. BC Hydro’s use of the Attendance Management Program (AMP) documents. Arbitrator Saunders issued a decision that BC Hydro cannot rely on the AMP documents to determine placement in the BC Hydro Attendance Support Program (ASP).  BC Hydro can use the AMP documents for the purpose of determining whether an employee has maintained a satisfactory attendance record and whether there is a reasonable prospect for improvement.
