Cascades Casino Langley – Bargaining Update

The parties met on January 3 and 4 to continue negotiations towards your first collective agreement. Discussion was productive and the parties have reached agreement on many articles, including the following: union recognition, including job steward and employee leave language, seniority rights, probationary language, discrimination and harassment language as well as job posting language.

The parties continue to discuss articles related to contracting out, employment discharge and termination, hours of work and scheduling, picket line protection, and on-call seniority. In addition to this, all monetary proposals remain on the table, including proposed wage and benefit increases.

We have agreed to resume negotiations on January 31 and February 1. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of your bargaining committee.
