Notice of By-Election – Nominations Open – ICBC Executive Councillor Area #1605

To All Members at ICBC EC Area # 1601-1611
EC #1601-1611 represents ICBC members employed at Head Office Locations (221 West Esplanade, 132 West Esplanade, 151 West Esplanade and 171 West Esplanade). Currently seven Executive Councillor positions are filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
Due to the resignation of Steve Toomey, and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Deadline for nomination forms to be received at the union office is 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
