Tentative Agreement Reached with CUPE BC and Locals **CORRECTION
September 12, 2018
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative one (1) year extension agreement with your employer, CUPE BC and Locals.
Some highlights of the tentative extension agreement include:
- Wage increase of two (2%) percent to the current salary scale, retroactive to January 1, 2018**
- PBC Direct Pay coverage for all members
- Guaranteed collective bargaining dates in advance of the extension’s expiration, 2 days in October and 2 days in November
- Additional guaranteed collective bargaining dates in January
Your bargaining committee is strongly recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement.
We will be holding a meeting on September 18, 2018 in order to review the tentative agreement with you. In attendance will be your bargaining committee as well as Vice President of Combined Units, Christy Slusarenko. This will also be your opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement. The vote will be conducted by secret ballot. Please make every effort to attend.
