Notice of By-Election – Nomination Received – Executive Councillor #1661

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC #1660-1661 Area
(EC #1660 and #1661 are at-large positions representing all members at ICBC in Surrey Central, Surrey 132 Centre, and Surrey Dean Centre. EC #1660 is currently filled.)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Lana Topic, from out of area, has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, Lana Topic will be declared the successful candidate.
