Notice of By-Election – Nomination Received – Executive Councillor #1605

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC 1605
(EC 1601 – 1611 are at-large positions representing all members at ICBC Head Office. EC 1601 – 1604 and 1606 – 1608 are currently filled)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Steve Toomey has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018, Steve Toomey will be declared the successful candidate.
