Local Voice Wins International Honour

Local Voice, MoveUP’s member magazine, has won a major honour in the 2009 International Labour Communicators Association awards.

Local Voice won second place in the North America-wide competition in the Local and Regional Union Publication category.

"It is a tremendous honour for MoveUP to win an award of this caliber in a North American-wide competition," said Mike Bruce, MoveUP’s Director of Communications and the Editor of Local Voice.

"It is great to receive this recognition and to know that we are at the forefront of communications with our members."

The International Labour Communicators Association is a world wide federation and resource group for union communications. MoveUP is a member of the ILCA as well as the Canadian Association of Labour Media (CALM).
