As you are aware, the Employer provided notice to both the Union and Employees of their intention to cease operation of the Chilliwack location of TBC, effective December 31, 2017.
The Parties met today to discuss outstanding matters including the overdue collective bargaining. In our discussions the Employer indicated that, notwithstanding the agreement is overdue, there would have been no new money put towards a renewed collective agreement, regardless of when it may have been bargained.
A number of options were discussed and to that end, your union representative will be attending the workplace on Friday to discuss options directly with all members. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting.
