Young Workers Town Hall with BC Premier David Eby this Thursday, July 11

To: Members of the Youth Action Committee
As young union activists, it is important for you to understand why unions such as MoveUP are concerned with politics and why we make it a critical part of our work to ensure progressive candidates get elected to governments at levels.
Having progressive governments in place means that we can lobby for improved public services and support for the industries that our members work in, particularly in the public sector.
Our union continues to encourage our young activists in the Youth Action Committee to learn more about the work our union does politically, and to engage on your own as well so that you can learn more about the issues that matter to working people and their families.
This Thursday, July 11, BC Premier David Eby is inviting young workers to attend a town hall on Zoom. The town hall will begin at 6 p.m. and participants are asked to log on by 5:45 p.m.
